By helping to retain
or regain good health, our program is instrumental in enabling people to
continue living in their own home and preventing premature nursing home
placement due to malnutrition-related health issues. The cost of meals for
one person for one year is approximately $1,800 compared to $50,000 a year
for nursing home care.
Donations are an important source of
revenue that helps enable us to provide our many services. Last year we
served almost 1,400 seniors. Our resources are currently stretched to the
limit. We do not have the funds to add more people to the program, no
matter how great the need may be. We need your help to fulfill our mission
of providing service to all Yolo County residents who need us.
We welcome and appreciate contributions
from family members, other interested individuals, organizations, and
corporations. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes Elderly Nutrition as
a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code. Individual donations to our agency are deductions on your personal
income tax return to the extent provided by law. Our Federal Tax ID number
is 94-1599229. Elderly Nutrition Program does business under the auspices
of People Resources, Inc.
